Description
A good organization is important in the warehouse logistic. Many goods can be stored in a same warehouse. The warehouse management is based on different activities such as storage, handling, information…, and the industries often deal with the storage space problem. This latter is known to be NP-hard. The storage space can be organized in different kinds such as: fixed storage space, and random space allocation.... The storage assignment problem involves the placement of a set of items in a warehouse in such a way that some performance measures are optimal. In addition to that, the e-business is increasingly growing up which push to a full automated and optimal management of distribution warehouses.
This special session will contribute to exchange the original ideas in the multiobjective optimization applied for the warehouse managament domain. The academic researchers and the industrials are invited to submit papers of their works on the subject.
