Description

This session presents the latest trends and developments of multiobjective metaheuristics to solve lines design problems. In fact, line designers try to achieve optimal developments by reducing the costs, maximizing the throughput rates, minimizing the occupied space … To take in consideration simultaneously different criteria and different constraints, multiobjective optimization is applied. The resolution methods presented in the session could be classical multiobjective metaheuristics or hybrid ones. The aim is to present their applications to solve different kinds of design problems such as buffers sizing, equipment selection, physical layout or lines balancing …

Topics

  • Lines design:
* Buffers sizing
* Equipment selection
* Lines balancing
* …
  • Multiobjective metaheuristics :
* Metaheuristiques (Multiobjective genetic algorithms, NSGA-II, SPEA-II, multiobjective ant colony optimization, multiobjective particle swarm optimization …)
* Hybrid metaheuristics (metaheuristics with local search, metaheuristics with guided local search, metaheuristics with fuzzy logic …)
