Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, France

(Word version or Acrobat version of the call)

THEME

The 4th ISPDC meeting attempts to provide an interactive, professional and friendly forum for all researchers, developers and users interested in parallel and distributed computing technologies and applications. This year's ISPDC will give special attention to Cluster, Grid and mobile computing technologies as they are rapidly developing and lead to new high performance computing capabilities through the sharing of distributed resources.

SCOPE

Authors are cordially invited to submit original papers describing theoretical and/or experimental research in the field of parallel and distributed computing and systems. The major topics include, but are not limited to:
  • Grid Architecture and Systems
  • Software Agents and Multi-agent Systems
  • Programming Paradigms, Tools and Environments
  • Resource Discovery and Management
  • Task and Communication Scheduling and Load Balancing
  • Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing
  • Cluster and Grid based Computing and Environments
  • Performance Management
  • Parallel, Distributed and Mobile Databases
  • Distributed Software Components
  • Web and Peer-to-Peer Computing and Services
  • Adaptive Computing
  • Real-time Distributed Systems
  • Security
  • Fault Tolerance
  • Scientific Computing and Large Scale Simulations
  • Distributed Applications and Case Studies

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND PUBLICATION

Submissions are solicited according to the schedule listed below and should consist of:

  • a cover page with the authors full names, addresses, fax and phone numbers, email addresses, and a 100-word abstract and up to 5 keywords;
  •  a paper describing original research in no more than 8 pages formatted in the IEEE style (see ISPDC’2005 web page)

It is expected that the proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society.

A set of the best grid-related papers may be considered for publication in Future Generation Computer Systems (FGCS): The International Journal of Grid Computing: Theory, Methods and Applications: http://ees.elsevier.com/fgcs/
