Paper Submission

Paper Format

Please prepare your paper in English using the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) template, which is available here. Papers must be submitted in PDF.

Types of Submissions

When submitting a paper to LION9, authors are required to select one of the following three types of papers:
  • Long paper: original novel and unpublished work (max. 15 pages in LNCS format);
  • Short paper: an extended abstract of novel work (max. 4 pages in LNCS format);
  • Work for oral presentation only (no page restriction; any format). For example, work already published elsewhere, which is relevant and which may solicit fruitful discussion at the conference.

Submission System

All papers must be submitted using EasyChair. The link can be found here.

When submitting a paper, authors will be asked to choose the general track or any of the special sessions organized within the conference:

  1. General track;
  2. Special sessions.


Submissions are closed.

Final version for pre-proceedings on USB key

The final version for pre-proceedings should be upload via easychair before January 3rd 2015.
  • Short paper: max. 6 pages in Springer LNCS format
  • Long paper: max. 15 pages in Springer LNCS format
At least one author of each accepted paper should register until December 17th 2015.

Camera ready for LNCS Post-Proceedings

All accepted papers (both long and short) will be published in a volume of the series on Lecture Notes in Computer Science from Springer after the conference. Instructions for preparing and submitting the final versions of all accepted papers will be available later on.
Steps for camera ready submission:
  1. The copyright must be fill for the post-proceedings : copyright.
  2. Source files (LaTeX files with all the associated style files, special fonts and eps or bib files, or Word or rtf files) and the final pdfs in a zip file
  3. Upload the source files and the copyright form via easychair before February 23th 2015 here.
