Embedded systems, which are the main scientific concerns of the SEAS group are becoming more and more numerous, efficient and interlinked. Teams of SEAS group, namely DreamPal, Emeraude and 2XS, raise challenges about computer hardware with growing complexity. The goal of SEAS group is to make accessible embedded systems to computer scientists by developing (1) software tools as dedicated compilers (2) analysis tools or (3) equipment tools, in order to manage, for example, the energy consumption of embedded software. Nevertheless, the SEAS group also anticipates future evolution of embedded systems. It facilitates, for example, the migration toward parallel architectures with a shared borderline between hardware and software that will disappear over time. The group contributions facilitate for example the emergence of new material technologies such as neuronal accelerators and futhermore improve the security of embedded infrastructures.
