Title: Delay-Robust Control of PDEs
Abstract:
Some PDEs may not be robust with respect to arbitrary small time-delays in the feedback. Robust finite-dimensional controller design for PDEs is a challenging problem. In this talk two constructive methods for delay-robust control will be briefly presented:

Title: Fundamental frequency estimation for speech enhancement
Abstract:
Speech enhancement can be achieved within the analysis/synthesis framework. The principle is to analyse the speech signals as an harmonic excitation produced by the vocal chords, and a filter corresponding to the vocal tract. By estimating both the excitation signal and the filter spectral shape, it is possible to synthesize and possibly enhance the speech. This presentation focuses on the estimation of the harmonic excitation’s fundamental frequency using limited computational ressources.
This problem can be put in form of a linear regression. An estimator is proposed to approach the frequencies contained in the signal, while enforcing that the frequency estimates respect the harmonicity constraint.
